·         We have 5 new iPads from PTO and Mr. Melde.

·         We have been using Scribble Press to make our own books during reading groups.

·         Mr. Mathern shows the books to the class on the smartboard when we are done.

·         We play chess and mancala on the iPads.

·         We also did Paint with Time and Doodle Buddy.

·         We use the ipads in Math to practice, time, adding, subtracting and coins.

·         We named the 5 ipads.

·         We call them red, yellow, blue, green, and purple.

·         Everyone has been getting a turn every day.

Communication Sheet update. . .

·        Math Homework! I forgot to include the Math homework on the communication sheet. Please make sure you are completing all the lessons WITH your child. If your child does it on their own please review answers with them so that they are doing things correctly. This week please complete Home Link lessons 4.5, 4.6, and 4.7.

·        December Book Orders are due Wednesday. You can either order online or send in orders. If you want it kept secret for gifts just write me a note.

·        Science Museum Field Trip information was sent home Monday. Please return permission slips and money by this Friday. If you have a problem or question please contact me.

·        Please make sure your child is dressed for the weather. Your child should have boots, snow pants, hats, and mittens. ALSO MAKE SURE THEY HAVE SHOES TO WEAR IN SCHOOL. They should not be wearing their snow boots all day.

·         CHESS! This class loves to play chess. We used to have a story time during snack break, but everyone wants to play chess. We compromised and now we rotate days between a story and chess during snack. It’s impressive because EVERY single student chooses to play chess during snack. I’ve never had that happen before.
